Kill Buljo 2 preview

A parody of Kill Bill and a no holds barred beer comedy, Kill Buljo was a big independent hit in Norway. Now the sequel Kill Buljo 2 is here, being hotter and bloodier as Jompa travels to Thailand.

nordicfantasy.info-killbuljo2-poster5The more lucky and stupid than dreaded Jompa Tormann is back, more than five years after the vengeance he was behind after his marriage was massacred. Jompa has to go to Thailand where everything is hotter, bloodier and better than in the cold plains of Lappland. Only the humor is worse than five years ago.

The team that brought the world Dead Snow, Hellfjord and Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters returns with Kill Buljo 2 on December 20th in theaters all over Norway. The buzz has been solid for months already, not least thanks to sexy Playboy model Triana Iglesias who stars as Frøydis, who gets her boobs punched by Jompa in a dirty back alley. The film was mainly shot in Thailand, and Triana says to Nordlys that the experience was “very fun”, and: -It was very warm. The lady I play is really cool and could probably kill with her bare hands, but the fight scenes in that heat, dressed in a leather suit, was a challenge.

Kill Buljo – the movie (2006) was an action comedy with some exploitive and horror elements, and the sequel promises more of the same, but with a bigger budget. Director Vegar Hoel describes the new film to Comoya as “an exotic action adventure that does not remind of any other Norwegian comedy. It looks different, and [is fucked up]”. Hoel is also an actor in the film, playing a character called Obi Wank Tjernobyl, while Ingrid Bolsø Berdal plays Anniken Skaiwalker. There are also references to Indiana Jones and Iron Man scattered in the film. The sequel was originally scheduled to premiere in April 2013, but was delayed to add “more special effects, better fights and deeper cleavages”.
